About the House
Our private detached holiday home is located in Nunspeet, in the middle of the Veluwe in the Provence of Gelderland in the serene holiday resort, bungalow park “Hoogwolde”. It is available for rent for a lovely stay of a week (or more) to relax, in summer as well as in wintertime. Dogs are allowed.
In 2015 our holiday residence has gone through a drastic renovation.
It is not a standard Holiday House. It is fully furnished in a comfortable and personal way. There is also a beautiful, well-maintained garden that blends in with the surroundings (1400 m2 private property). The house as well as the garden provides a lot of privacy. Ideal for people that enjoys nature’s peace and quiet. Do you like to play golf, our garden borders the beautiful Golf Course ‘Het Rijk van Nunspeet’. You can also have lovely walks and cycling tours in the surrounding forests and heather fields.
The 1st floor has a spacious living room (58m2) with study corner and internet (Wifi) and big windows that give you a beautiful panoramic view into the garden.
The spacious terrace can be reached through sliding glass doors. The toilet and bathroom with shower as well as a storage room where the washing machine and dryer are situated are brand new. Garden furniture is also available (incl. cushions).
On the 2nd floor there are 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom has a queen size bed, the other bedroom has two separate single beds. (4 persons max.)
All beds come with good pillows and duvets. Linen and towels are available for an extra fee.
The house is centrally heated via floor heating (so very comfortable in winter). The entire 1st floor has been retiled. TV, radio and DVD player can be found in the lounge room.
Pets are allowed (conditions apply).
The bungalow park is accessible 24 hours a day and you can drive your car up to the house.
Surroundings
Do you like to get out and about during your holidays? Than visit the Veluwe. There are numerous events, exhibitions, interesting museums, versatile attractions and animal parks. Visit a historical town, shop till you drop or have a drink in the sun at one of the many terraces. Explore the Veluwe on horseback, or bring your dog. Join a game watching tour and be amazed by the beauty of the local flora and fauna.
Here are a few suggestions for fun day trips.
The Dolfinarium in Harderwijk is the largest sea mammal park in Europe.
Enjoy the splashing shows and meet dolphins, walruses, sea lions and other sea creatures. There are 10 different shows and demonstrations daily. A great day out for the whole family.

All throughout the year there are daily guided walks available. It is also possible to do themed walks like culinary walks or kids walks.

Enjoy a nice walk through this historic town – with or without a guide. Visit the old harbour to see the old fisherman’s terminal or the old Botter-wharf. Do you enjoy a nice cold beer? There is also a city walk that focuses on all aspects of beer brewing and ends with a tasting session.

This theme park in Biddinghuizen is guaranteed to get your adrenaline flowing as it is the home of the highest and fastest rollercoaster in Holland. There are many more rides and events.

This more than 300 year old palace is open to the public and gives an impression on how the palace was lived in by the Dutch Royal family and their ancestors. The stunning gardens and surrounding national park is an amazing experience at any time of year.

This monkey zoo in Apeldoorn is a great experience for young and old. More than half the monkeys are allowed to roam free in the lush forest and can be viewed from up close.

An amusement park just west of Apeldoorn, this one is more suited for children from 2-12 years old. It boasts more than 60 rides and numerous daily shows. Book online for a € 2 discount.

A zoo in Arnhem that is split up into 8 different themes like a safari park, a seawater aquarium, a desert, a tropical rainforest etc. It is one of the biggest zoos in the country. It is well known for it’s breeding of endangered species and has a large focus on conservation and education.

This National Park is the greenest treasure chest of Holland with entrances in Hoenderloo, Otterlo and Schaarsbergen. A stunning national park where you can hike and cycle (there are free loan bikes available) till your heart is content. The park is home to the Kröller-Müller Museum which has the second largest Van Gogh collection in the world. Also worth a visit is the St. Hubertus hunting lodge with its massive carp pond.

If you are considering renting a bicycle to explore the surroundings we can recommend Hoegen Fietsverhuur in Nunspeet. This family run business has a large array of bicycles, even electric ones. For a small fee they will even deliver and collect the bikes to our house.

The Oostvaardersplassen are a unique ecosystem of great importance to the Netherlands ánd Europe. The swamp area is an important habitat for migrating birds in wintertime. The grass plains are home to wild cattle, horses, deer and many more animals.
The visitor centre in Lelystad is the starting point to many activities like cycling, hiking and excursions.

Location
Nunspeet is situated in the middle of the ‘Veluwe’ and easy to get to. In the direct surroundings are forests and heather fields, ‘Zandenplas’ for swimming and the ‘Veluwemeer’.
By car via the highway A28 (Amersfoort-Zwolle), exit 14 Elspeet / Nunspeet. Then direction Nunspeet and before de level crossing to the right.
The holiday park is easily accessible by train. About a 15 minute walk from the railway station in Nunspeet.
The village is also within walking distance (10-15 minutes)

When you apply for a quote we always send you an obligation free quote for the period you are asking for as soon as possible. If that period is not available anymore we will offer you an alternative period. We also answer any of your questions.
When your request results in a reservation, we will send you a confirmation letter with all the details for payment and terms of payment. You will then also receive a route description with a map of the Bungalow Park and our rental conditions.
